Customer Agreement
This Customer Agreement governs your use of the 1815 Limited website and the material contained therein. As a customer, you acknowledge and signify that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by this agreement.
Who are 1815 Limited?
1815 Limited is a company registered in the United Kingdom of Great Britain which operates a website that allows 1815 Limited customers ("Customers") to purchase any of the series of printed hardback and paperback books, and new eBooks in association with Secure-eBook, containing material relating to the Battle of Waterloo, that it produces.
Who can become an 1815 Limited customer?
Only individuals and businesses that are legally entitled to enter into legally binding and enforceable contracts may register to be a Customer and purchase books or eBooks through the website. Customers must comply with all applicable laws. All information submitted by Customers through the website, including registration information, payment information, and transaction-related information must be true, accurate, current and complete. Once you have registered as a Customer, you are referred to as a "Customer", "You", "Your" or "Yourself" for the purposes of this agreement.
How does the 1815 Limited website work?
The website provides material for browsing leading to a transaction or transactions. All payments are processed by Paypal, unless written agreement is provided by authorised representatives of 1815 Limited, whereupon bank transfers and cheques (or company pro-former invoices) will be accepted, as part of an individual negotiation and agreement. Orders placed through the website for printed books are processed when the said item or items are available. No funds are requested until the item or items are due for despatch. Sales of Secure-eBook files are processed immediately by a fully automated system, and the files are available as soon as they have been activated successfully. 1815 Limited strives to provide a reliable, active and honest service, where all information on the website is easy to understand and to comply with. Naturally, misprints or other errors may occur. 1815 Limited reserves the right to change information on the website at any time and from time to time without any notice or liability to You or any other person. Items listed on the website are subject to availability, and may not be available when ordered. The items offered on the website are invitations for purchase orders, and shall not constitute binding offers to sell. Your properly completed and delivered order form constitutes Your offer to purchase the Items referenced in your order, especially with the Secure-eBook files within the on-line archive offered through Paypal.
1815 Limited may, in its discretion, change, suspend or terminate, temporarily or permanently, the website or any part of it at any time, for any reason, without any notice or liability to You or any other person. 1815 Limited may, in its discretion, change, supplement or amend its policies and procedures and this agreement as they relate to future use of the website from time to time and without any notice or liability to You or any other person, by posting revised documents on the website. You may not change, supplement or amend this agreement or any 1815 Limited policies or procedures. You and 1815 Limited have expressly requested and required that this Agreement and all other related documents be drawn up in the English language. Thank you for registering with 1815 Limited. How does the 1815 Limited registration work?
The 1815 Limited registration is undertaken by customers who provide their contact details on a voluntary basis, in the knowledge that they will receive regular newsletters for a period of up to twelve months. A customer registering with 1815 Limited will receive immediate access to predetermined material, which will take the form of Secure-eBook files that have to be downloaded. These files are delivered using an executable (exe) format, and are not available to Mac users unless they can operate this software. A customer registered with 1815 Limited can upgrade and become a full member at any time. They can also cancel their registration at any time by contacting sales@1815.ltd.uk and notifying them of their intent. 1815 Limited reserves the right to cancel customer’s registration with immediate effect. The expiration of an individual’s period of registration with 1815 Limited will be confirmed in writing prior to the termination date, and following receipt of the twelfth and final newsletter the individual is registered to receive.
How does the 1815 Limited membership work?
The 1815 Limited membership provides customers with the benefits of the registration system outlined above. A customer can become a member for either three or twelve months. All members receive special introductory offers of the same value, regardless of the period for which they are members, on the books published by 1815 Limited. A customer who chooses to become a member for three months will receive immediate access to the entire contents of the on-line archive, which will be delivered as Secure-eBook files using an executable (exe) format that the member has to download. The Secure-eBook files are not currently available to Mac users unless they are able to operate executable (exe) software. A member for three months will also receive three subsequent monthly newsletters containing a link to the entire, updated, contents of the on-line archive, which will have to be downloaded in the manner outlined above. Members who choose the three month option have a period of twenty-eight days from becoming a member, or five days following receipt of the first newsletter with the updated contents of the on-line archive, to upgrade and to become a member for twelve months, by paying the additional £50 fee. 1815 Limited reserves the right to charge an administration fee, to process the upgrade, after this period. A customer who chooses to become a member for twelve months will receive immediate access to the entire contents of the on-line archive, which will be delivered s Secure-eBook files in the manner outlined with members choosing the three months option. A member for twelve months will also receive twelve subsequent monthly newsletters containing a link to the entire, updated, contents of the on-line archive, which will have to be downloaded, as before. Members will be notified in writing prior to the expiration of their membership, following receipt of their last scheduled newsletter containing links to the updated contents of the on-line archive, of the membership termination date.
