A file contains various items by William Clarke, William Elton, George De Lacy Evans, Sir Robert Gardiner, Lord Greenock, John Marshall, Fiennes Miller, George Packe and Charles Radclyffe, all of which are available separately, as well as letters from William Beckwith, Sir Alexander Dickson, Willemina Drummond, John Luard, Samuel Rogers and James Sloan. In his letter of the 4th July 1815, Brevet Major Charles Radclyffe wrote: 'The charge of the heavy cavalry in line was a magnificent sight, and I have every reason to believe they did everything to justify the high expectations their appearance had excited. Nothing could exceed the enthusiasm of that part that fell under my notice. I commanded the left squadron of the Royals. They took an Eagle; the Greys, to maintain their motto, took another.' In addition to the accounts, letters and reports, the file contains extensive geanealogical information and military service details.
