The creation of a new on-line archive containing translated copies of contemporary letters and reports which can be purchased and downloaded, provides all students of the Waterloo campaign with an exciting source of material.

The new on-line archive is the result of years of studious research in all the major historical centres in Europe, and has been designed to complement the series of books being published by 1815 Limited. Each of the files within the archive is professionally edited by Martin Windrow and prepared by The Dorset Press. The archive contains typeset copies of contemporary letters and reports, all of which have been taken from the original handwritten manuscripts. A much wider selection of material will be made available in the coming months, including items relating to the French and Prussian armies, detailed returns of the killed and wounded, along with strengths of particular units prior to the campaign and items of importance from order books and journals.
